Job Summary

Join our cozy Cat Café team as a Barista, where your love for coffee and cats come together to create a one-of-a-kind guest experience. In this role, you’ll craft high-quality beverages while helping maintain a calm, clean, and welcoming environment for both our human guests and resident cats. Your warmth, attentiveness, and ability to multitask will ensure smooth café operations and happy visitors. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care.

• Prepare light food items such as sandwiches, pastries, and snacks.

• Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, efficient service.

• Help create a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere for guests interacting with cats.

• Monitor guest behavior in the cat lounge to ensure safe, respectful interactions with the cats.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of café areas, including food prep stations, seating, and cat spaces (following proper sanitation guidelines).

• Assist with basic cat care tasks as needed (e.g., refreshing water, tidying shared spaces, reporting any concerns to management).

• Operate POS systems (e.g., Square) to process transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Handle cash and card payments while following proper cash handling procedures.

• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, as well as cat café-specific health and safety protocols.

• Manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining a calm and welcoming environment.

• Monitor inventory levels for café supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.

• Address guest questions, educate visitors on cat café guidelines, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or café experience preferred.

• Comfort working around cats and enthusiasm for animal welfare (experience with cats is a plus).

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, patient, and positive attitude.

• Ability to guide guests in following cat café rules and ensuring a safe environment.

• Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Square, Aloha, Micros) is a plus.

• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Strong time management and multitasking skills in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
